(Active Community Teens Involved in Outreach for Nome)

ACTION hosted a Halloween Party on October 29th at the elementary school and invited 5-9 year olds

to play games, participate in contests, and devour fun snacks. Each child dressed in costume and

paid $5 to attend the event which raised money for the Nome Volunteer Ambulance Department.

Over 60 youngsters attended, and all ACTION members gained the experience of planning

and hosting a successful community event!

ACTION receive a Spirit of Youth Award for the community service work.  A few members were interviewed by KTUU in Anchorage at the awards banquet in March.
