Hooks and Ladders
A game used to demonstrate the life cycle of a salmon.

The kids with their foot in the buckets and boxes
aren't clumsy, they are representing fishermen.

The jump rope represented the turbines
of a hydroelectric generator.

Other students played the part of natural predators, while students that were the salmon turned
into fish ladders when they were tagged by the fishermen, predators or hit by the jump rope.

The "salmon" had to recieve 7 years of tokens before they could head back to their home stream to spawn.
